Connexions is a national organisation which aims to give every young person the best start in life. It can help you:
- explore career ideas
- find information
- find advice and support
- apply for jobs
Connexions Tyne and Wear provide advice and guidance to young people aged 13 - 19. They can help with almost anything from employment and training to problems at home or work.

Aim Higher
After completing level 3 courses like A Levels many students go on to study at auniversity. To find out what universities have to offer, try the AimHigher website. www.aimhigher.ac.uk.
It enables you to view the range of higher education courses that are available. It also offers advice on career choices and student finances.
Each Gateshead School has appointed an AimHigher Co-ordinator whose job it is to encourage people to go on to higher education. They will be able to help you start looking and even visit some universities. They will also be able to tell you about Summer Schools and Residentials.
